When creating new dietary habits, this list can offer new and creative recipes to add to your menu rotation while you seek better health! "Lower inflammatory" on this site means made without "added" sugar, preservatives, artificial colors/flavors/sugar, MSG, trans fats/partially-hydrogenated oils, refined carbohydrates or alcohol. These ingredients contribute to inflammation for everyone.
Inflammation needs to be reduced for optimal health, as it is a factor in physical, mental and emotional wellness.
Food intolerances are the body’s digestive response and can vary over time. Identifying food intolerances can be tricky because some foods have up to a 5-day delayed response. Over indulging in your food sensitivities may be the cause of your skin issues, migraines, moodiness, gut issues, poor sleep and more, but are not life-threatening.
Unfortunately, repeatedly eating the same foods can contribute to both allergies (IgG) and intolerances.
Allergic responses are sometimes genetic and generally occur immediately after ingestion or exposure and can mimic similar symptoms as food intolerances.
Dr. Thomas only recommends going down the road of food intolerance discovery under two conditions:
1. Wanting answers to unresolved chronic health issues
2. Personal motivation and grit to walk the journey of the elimination diet process

Eliminating food allergens for a short period and re-introducing them to determine benefit/risk is a much faster process than eliminating food intolerances.
